A limited company name may be changed subject to availability, the agreement of the Registrar and by carrying out the necessary procedure and document drafting. When considering a new company name the same criteria applies as if you were forming a new company. Your choice of company name may not already be used, "like sounding" or similar to a name already registered. The Registrar will also refuse a name if it implies State sponsorship or is generally thought to be offensive.
